One Night in Sicily at IDDU

Escape to Sicily for one night and visit IDDU. Located in the heart of South Kensington it offers simple, authentic Sicilian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, coffee time, aperitivo or dinner. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with books and art, recipes and typical products from Sicily.

IDDU serves traditional Sicilian dishes from salads and antipasti, panini and pasta to a great selection of homemade cakes, biscuits, ice cream and typical desserts like Cannoli Siciliani and Tiramisù.

Pair your food with a good Sicilian wine! IDDU’s wine list features regional whites and reds – the Nero d’Avolo from Regaleali was a beautiful match. We started our dinner with ricotta and oregano stuffed courgette flowers topped with fresh tomatoes and the traditional parmigiana di melanzane.

The classical Penne alla Norma from Sicily is on the menu but we went for the Linguine con pistacchio pesto e gamberi and Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. Both dishes were very tasty and perfectly cooked.

All in all a lovely place to enjoy good, authentic Sicilian food created by the owner, who is from Palermo, and his welcoming team.
